US Foods Sales Coordinator in Bensenville, Illinois
Contact customers fororders, add-ons, etc., and process the orders through internal order entrysystems. Phone customers to highlight on-goingproduct promotions and opportunities to up-sell/cross-sell to distribute slowmoving items, close-out items and special buy items. Work closely with aminimum of 10 Territory Managers to actively support their customers and drivesales performance through regular, scheduled contact and suggestive, persuasiveselling.
Respond to customer and Territory Managerquestions and requests (e.g., price information) in a timely manner, typicallyby phone, email or other necessary means either by determining answer on own orescalating to appropriate distribution center or area resources (Operations, CategoryManagement, Finance, Replenishment, etc.) or external vendors, as required.Leverage proprietary US Foods systems and tools to quickly and accuratelyanswer queries and drive to insight.
Obtain quotes from the Equipment and SuppliesDepartment for the Territory Manager and/or customer in order toenthusiastically promote equipment sales. Utilize sample policy to obtainsamples for customers and/or Territory Managers.
Attend department sales meetings, producttrainings and cuttings to develop and grow product and vendor knowledge.Provide administrative support to Territory Managers and District SalesManagers or local Sales Management to process credits, special orders,drop-ships, re-routing delivery days, will calls, etc. Respond to price informationqueries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Provide vacation/back-up coverage to Territory Managers and weekendcoverage for all inbound calls

Education/Training:High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’sdegree preferred.
Related Experience:At least three (3) years of previous customer service experiencerequired. Food service distribution experience preferred. Previous salesexperience preferred, but not required. Working knowledge of CRM tools is a plus (especially ifit’s Salesforce.com).
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and solid problem resolution ability required.
- Candidate must have a solid customer service orientation, with ability to professionally and effectively influence and persuade customers to purchase products.
- Able to process multiple issues simultaneously, driving them to successful resolution.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
