US Foods Director, Operations in Plymouth, Minnesota
·Overall planning andconduct of short/mid-term operations objectives. Participates in strategicplanning by identifying mid and long-term strategies for the department.
·Directs management to bringabout action towards desired objectives.
·Anticipates, analyzes andtroubleshoots problems within operations and devises cost-effective and legalsolutions and acts to implement same.
·Ensure optimum customerservice by developing efficient and effective production flow processes andidentifying process improvement and cost reduction strategies that are in linewith business objectives.
·Plans and directstechnology affecting functional area to increase innovation, improve productivityand ensure compliance with company, state and federal regulations.
·Plans headcount needed tomaintain service levels, monitors production goals; maintain a zero-errorattitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
·Manage inventory losses byidentifying any inconsistencies, determining causes and implementingappropriate changes to ensure minimal loss.
·Analyze daily performancemeasures and recommend changes to VP of Operations to ensure company'sproductivity objectives achieved. In conjunction with Human Resources and VPOperations, interprets the provisions of the collective bargaining agreementand assists in negotiations.

Education/Training: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degreepreferred in related subject. Will accept equivalent combination of education(e.g. high school diploma) and relevant experience.
Related Experience: Minimum five (5) years in foodservice operationsdistribution and delivery management required. Minimum of two years working inunion environment and preferred. Roadnet/Xata experience required. Experience with voice activated selection software is required. Experience withVoxware and Red Prairie desired
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have Word and Excel knowledge, Outlook aplus. D.O.T. regulations, Labor Relations, knowledge of OSHA and otherregulatory requirements mandatory. Must be able to demonstratemanagerial/leadership skills.
