US Foods Logistics Claims Analyst in Rosemont, Illinois
Responsible for the collection, review, and analysis of logistics claims data to support efforts to maximize the efficiency of logistics operations and reduce freight loss. Sr. Analyst will work closely with the Logistics Support Office and field-based US Foods teams and external USF partners such a carriers and 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) providers. Develop and maintain of the logistics/finance databases within the claims applications. Provide monthly claims analysis to Finance Managers and Controllers at the divisions addressing any unresolved issues impacting divisional P & L. Develop, prepare, analyze, and distribute bi-weekly reports to Sr. Management in order to identify claims that require research and follow up due to the aging of the claim. Prepare month-end journal entries and complete general ledger account analysis. Provide support data to divisions used in the preparation of annual budget and forecast regarding freight claim loss. Research and resolve vendor and inventory discrepancies. Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams with both a keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Monitor process changes as required and make recommendations in order to develop a defined efficient process.

Bachelor’s degree required, Finance and Accounting preferred. Related Experience 3 years working experience in an analyst related role within an accounting, purchasing, and/or transportation business environment. Prior experience with logistics data analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Prior experience working on purchasing and transportation related systems. Understanding of various financial statements, transport logistics, regulatory laws, and corporate policy.
