Job Description:

Basic Purpose-

Responsible for the collection, review and analysis of logistics data relevant to assigned categories, to assist in maximizing supply chain efficiency for the Merchandising organization. The role will manage Merchandising logistics and assist in the modeling and mapping of inbound and outbound volume to reduce supply chain costs, monitor freight rates and provide conversion solutions to support customers.

Description-

Drive supply chain cost improvement and performance of inbound logistics through daily data analysis of relevant data - measuring and reporting results - provide creative and insightful recommendations and options to stakeholders based on data analysis - provide presentation of data and results.

Manages the relationship with stakeholders: absorbing and understanding customer needs and business environment; interaction with sales, customer, vendors and internal support teams. Provide freight analysis support for multiple account reviews each week ranging from $10 MM to $100 MM in annual sales potential.

Manage the development and maintenance of freight information and operate databases within the logistics management applications needed to review and model solutions.

Communication and coordination with merchandising team, operations and logistics as required. Serve as subject matter expert to assigned category regarding process and procedures on supply chain opportunities, logistics systems and work flow as it relates to freight.

Data abstraction and organization: Utilize financial, logistical and procurement databases/systems to assist in the development and analysis of modeling and supply chain efficiency improvements.

Perform detailed analysis and distribute KPI's to stakeholders.

Qualifications-

Education/Training: H.S. Diploma required, bachelors degree preferred.

Related Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain, with a focus on analysis. Prior experience in a food distribution operation is strongly desired. Experience working within a distribution environment highly valued.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and be proficient in Access, Word and Powerpoint. Prior experience in database management, including the construction of Access databases required.
