US Foods Industrial Maintenance Tech (location: Save on Seafood) in St. Petersburg, Florida
Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of production equipment. Work on building projects; internal and external. Maintain proper Hazmat documentation. Ensure preventive maintenance is fulfilled per schedules.
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to production equipment (i.e. multivac, wrapping, packaging machines) to insure that adequate machinery is available for operations. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions to minimize equipment downtime.
Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production equipment
Review any equipment reports submitted by associates, record actions/repairs taken, and maintains a repair log per USF policy.
Complete preventative maintenance on equipment, conveyor systems and production machines following diagrams, sketches and manufactures operator’s manuals. Maintain PM log with proper documentation, per USF policy
Comply with all USF and government guidelines regarding safety when working on equipment (i.e. Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding and required documentation, safe work environment, etc.)
Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area.
·If authorized, may purchase tools and other equipment needs from local vendors to perform required duties.
·Participate in general FSQA record keeping and sanitation routines as directed by FSQA Manager

Education/Training:High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
Related Experience : A minimum of six moths previous mechanic experience required. Packing equipment and multivac experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment; welding ability; able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision.Able to work well with others under high pressure situations, strong interpersonal skills.
